We operate about 100 medical laboratories and 2,000 patient collection centres across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. Each year, we provide one in every three pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia’s largest and most complex private and public hospitals to small and remote Australian Aboriginal communities.
About the role
- Vacancies currently exist for Grade 2 Laboratory Assistants at our central laboratory in Heidelberg to help with the receipt and processing of pathology specimens in our Specimen Reception Department
- Be part of our dynamic team where your self-motivation, enthusiasm and teamwork will complement your technical abilities in this pivotal role. You will be responsible for prompt receipting, ID checking, sorting, and accessioning of pathology specimens as well as helping oversee the laboratory's automation system
- These are permanent positions with rotating shifts including evening shifts and weekend work
- These opportunities are entry-level and will suit candidates looking to gain experience in a medical laboratory setting, looking to get into the workforce or re-joining the workforce
- No experience needed,training provided on the job
