About Us
Dorevitch Pathology is part of Healius' Pathology division, one of Australia's leading providers of private medical laboratory and pathology services. We operate about 100 medical laboratories and 2,000 patient collection centres across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. Each year, we provide one in every three pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia's largest and most complex private and public hospitals to small and remote Australian Aboriginal communities.
About the Role
This position is primarily responsible for creating accurate and efficient rosters for all Collectors and filling planned and unplanned vacancies across the Collector Network in a timely and appropriate manner. This is achieved through the utilisation of a computerised rostering system.
- Daily Runs: The team manages 20 runs per day across Melbourne, handling critical collections in hospitals, nursing homes, and blood deliveries
- Rostering Effort: Rostering requires 3 hours of dedicated time daily to manage schedules, cover sick leaves, and respond to urgent changes
- Administrative Burden: Additional responsibilities include processing timecards, tracking staff availability, and ensuring compliance with operational requirements
- Roster Management: Efficiently schedule 75 staff members to ensure adequate coverage for Collection Control and Home Collection
- Timecard Administration: Process timecards accurately and in a timely manner
- Sick Leave Coverage: Manage and fill sick leave absences promptly to avoid service disruptions
- Administrative Support: Handle additional administrative tasks related to rostering and reporting
- Relationship Management: Maintain a close and collaborative relationship with the Collection Control Lead to ensure seamless operations
About You
- Relevant experience with electronic rostering systems, Kronos Work Force Dimensions ideal
- Sound knowledge and experience in health industry
- Strong communication skills, ability to adapt communication style based on the needs of the audience.
- Proven ability to prioritise workload and multi-task to ensure work requirements are completed within expected timeframes.
- Working knowledge of and the ability to apply Award conditions when shift rostering.
