Schedule: Positions cover shifts 24 hours a day, seven days per week as required

About the role 

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Communication with medical staff, (both onsite and off-site) with Hospitals, Doctors, Nursing Homes and Government Bodies
  • Answering enquiries over the phone, coordinating courier and medical centre collections, pathology results assistance 
  • General administration duties 
  • Maintain customer confidentiality
  • Liaise with laboratory staff 
  • Achieving Departmental KPIs
  • Ability to understand and ensure compliance with WHS policies and guidelines

 

About you 

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:

  • Sound typing/data entry skills (approximately 50 wpm with 98% accuracy) 
  • Previous experience or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels of an organisation 
  • A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures 
  • Must be a cohesive and contributing member of the team and display positive attitudes towards achieving outcomes 
  • Strong time management, interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
  • Enjoys a fast-paced working environment

  • A professional attitude towards confidentially

  • Excellent telephone manner 
  • Strong customer focus and general office skills
  • Basic computer skills
